Inagh-Kilnamona 2-14 Truagh 2-6
The county champions were too strong for Truagh this evening pulling away in the second half to have the game secured with 10 minutes remaining.
With two early frees & a point from play Inagh-Kilnamona raced into a three point lead early in the game. Truagh, through Aine O'Loughlin, stayed in the game with two points, one from play & the other a free. However Inagh-Kilnamona squeezed two unanswered scores between O'Loughlins points. The teams exchanged points nearing half time, both from play, Truagh's a well taken point by O'Loughlin after a long free in from Eimear Kelly, to leave the half time score 0-3 v 0-6 in favour of the hosts.
Inagh-Kilnamona proved too strong for Truagh in the second half, even after Truagh had the best possible start with a well taken handpassed goal by Hannah Horgan, after another long delivery from Kelly. Horgan was made to work for the score but did well to evade the defenders to score. Inagh-Kilnamona answered the early questions asked almost immediately, and went on to score 2-2 without reply. O'Loughlin added another pointed free 10mins in. Another brace of points from InKil extended their lead to ten points mid way through the half. Truagh however finished well with a goal from Louise Egan and two points from Kelly, one from play and a 45' shot on goal that screamed over the bar. Sixmilebridge 4-14 Kilmaley 1-4
Sixmilebridge had home advantage for their first league game. The Bridge side dominated the scoreline in the first half. Morey set them up with a free only a couple of minutes in, McGrath added to this scoring a lovely point from 60m out. Despite strong efforts from Kilmaley, wides proved detrimental. Carey was next when she split the posts after a run through the Kilmaley defence. They added a further three points before Phelan pulled the ball into the Kilmaley net. Soon after Niamh Lyons also rattled the net. Morey put over another before Phelan found target in the Kilmaley net once more. At half time Sixmilebridge led on a scoreline of 3-8 to no score. In the second half Kilmaley improved their game. Chloe added two points before Kilmaley went on to get their first score of the game. Phelan pointed before Kilmaley rattled the Bridge net which they followed up with two more points. Morey converted a free from the 65. Kilmaley split the posts before substitute Sarah Loughnane added 1-1 to the Bridge tally.

Newmarket on Fergus recorded the second win in the 2nd round of the Division 1 league on Sunday. Played in Clooney the Blues led 2-8 to 0-3 at the half time break. Newmarket drove on in the second half, however, scores weren’t as easy to come by as Clooney Quin tightened their defence. Both sides each had a player from the minor county team lining out for their clubs, Ciara McCarthy in goals for the Blues and Ciara Grogan at centre back for Clooney Quin, with both playing excellently.

St. Josephs and Feakle-Killanena finished deadlocked on Sunday morning in Round 2 of the Division Two League. St. Josephs who had home advantage led 1-3 to 0-5 at half time, with points from Erin Hennessy, Caoimhe Hoey and Aisling McMahon. Full forward
Ciara Whelan was the home side's opening goal scorer. Feakle-Killanena opened the scoring with points from Regan Conway and Vera Loughnane, with both adding further points before the half time interval.
St. Joseph's mid fielder Louise Woods pointed in the opening minute of the second half, and along with scores from Erinn and Caitriona Hennessy, the homeside led 1-6 to 0-5.
Minutes later, Regan Conway pulled two points back before Erinn Hennessy added another point midway through the half leaving St. Josephs three points ahead after 50mins. Jodi Guilfoyle and Vera Loughnane followed up with two further points for the visitors when Louise Woods struck for goal. Robyn Conway pointed for Feakle-Killanena
before Regan Conway struck the net to put the minimum between the sides. With three minutes remaining Louise Woods slotted the ball between the posts to level matters at the final whistle.

Scariff/Ogonnelloe continued their winning ways in this encounter with neighbours Kilkishen/Bodyke. A good start with 1-1 from Mairead Scanlon laid the foundations for this win. Solid defending from the backs, coupled with accurate shooting from the forwards, kept Kilkishen/Bodyke scoreless in the first half, while Scariff/Ogonnelloe had 1-5 on the board at half-time. They continued this trend in the second half to leave the final score at 2-10 to 0-3.

Tulla 4-7 Broadford 1-4
Tulla recorded their first points in the league when they had a well deserved win over Broadford on sunday in a game played in ideal conditions, no wind, rain or even sunshine, perfect hurling conditions. Both sides were missing some regulars and this allowed managements to experiment with players and positions.
The first half was a very close encounter with the sides seperated by the only goal of the half which was well taken by Aisling Hunt in the Tulla attack to leave the half time score Tulla 1-4 Broadford 0-4.
In the second half the Tulla girls pressed home their advantage and kept the scoreboard ticking over with some well worked scires to run out winners on a final score if Tulla 4-7 Broadford 1-4.
